Dental implants are becoming more popular in today's dental society for a number of reasons. After you have seen the implant specialist and the implant is completely integrated with the jawbone you may start with your restorative treatment. Your implant will have been uncovered and a healing cap placed by the specialist that did the implant, leaving you ready to start the next phase of treatment. Our office will then screw an implant abutment into the implant.

Abutments are tiny connectors that connect the implant crown, bridge or denture to the actual implant. Once the abutment is in place a crown, bridge or denture will be permanently cemented to the abutment now completing your treatment.
